Everyday the Sun comes up and it sets, and you know why?

Because, we’ve discovered that the Earth is round, and we live on great big ball. How cool is that? People figured it out by looking carefully at the sky, the Moon, and the stars. Once we got that understanding of that bit of our place in space, we went on to discover the motions of the nearby planets. We figured out that our Sun is another star, just like the ones we see at night. We came to understand how big the whole thing is— how big our Solar System is, how big our galaxy is, and how big the spaces between the galaxies are.

And wait, there is more… an unimaginably whole lot more.

The more you understand, the more you realize how much you don’t understand, and so you think some more.

All that thinking is exciting.
